American Velvet T

I've got a barrel on my back and it is breaking my bones
You've got some whiskey in your flat for when you're feeling alone
I've got a feeling that you'll find out that I already know
This is never gonna stop until it's out of control
But you
Never made me think of god so to speak
Draped in an american velvet t
Never looked so beautiful to me
Never looked so beautiful to me
I wasn't in it for the fiscal or the visceral side
If I had a car I'd say I'd pack up my shit and drive
But I don't even have my licence and I'm broke as hell
I guess I'll just stay here wishing I could help myself
But you
Always were the right one or so it seemed
Never made a promise to me we'd be
Mutually exclusive or so to speak
Never looked so beautiful to me

Body Breathing
02:20
|

Feels like I'll die cause this air, is so suffocating
Watching the box with the lights, while it's demonstrating
What, it is like, to be live, with your body breathing
When, you feel bu-ried alive, it's not for no reason
Tired of skies rolling grey, forming twisted columns
Winding their way through the pine, like some holy totems
Won-dering why, anyone, has a sense of being
Burnt, out again, I'll pretend, it just lost it's meaning
Sun's burning rays soaked the earth, saturated forest
crackling red, scorching air, screamed a shrill high chorus
Feel-ing so large, you can't breath, crushed beneath your burden
Let's, waste our time, bathed in blue, shining through our curtains
Chain smoking days, hazy thoughts wrapped in porous logic
Miserably joyful my lows, feeling so hypnotic
Born, in a place, in a time, where there is no movement
Stuck, in my ways, always late, cause I never knew it.

Gypsy Love

The grinning bear danced as he swayed with the bells
that rhythmically ran their course over in swells.
And we laughed with such perilous wonderful feelings, while under our noses our rose they were stealing.
And we sailed out to sea just to watch the sunrise, but its marveling magenta burnt up our blue eyes.
So we cried and we graveled for thousands of days, but we fell off the boat and were swallowed by waves.
But you asked me for more and I said sure, I don't know why you hypnotize me but you do.
So I'll be true, my gypsy love, I am so blue, when I can't be with you.
Forest was lush and its branches so green
so it caught our surprise when it started aflame.
And they cried and they screamed as their flesh fell away,
their bodies turned ash by the end of the day and
onto the land where the sand burned so hot
where there's lizards and gizzards of birds that should not
have been flying so closely engaged with the sun
their shadows just waiting for their souls to be one
But you asked me for more and I said sure, I don't know why you hypnotize me but you do.
So I'll be true, my gypsy love, I am so blue, when I can't be with you.

Before I Can Speak

In Sweet Love, you make me, so happy about it
We're crazy, we both know, we could go without it
We gone through, so much rough, but smoothed it together
Your soft skin, your tough love, could sooth me forever
I'm tired, of thinking, before I can speak
and I'm trying to stay grounded so I don't lose both my feet
